What does Gravity Assist do?
We provide one-on-one online tutoring and academic mentorship, plus custom enrichment programs and professional development for schools and organizations.
How does tutoring get started?
Start with a free consultation with Jay. We’ll discuss your student’s needs, check tutor fit and availability, and agree on the schedule and rate. Sessions take place online with a shared digital whiteboard.
Which subjects and ages do you support?
Our tutoring focuses on grades 8–12. Subjects include Algebra through AP Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Writing, History and Social Sciences, Spanish, French, Computer Science, and SAT, ACT, AP, and entrance-exam preparation. Ask Jay about your specific subject and current availability.
How do you choose a tutor?
We look at subject expertise, the student’s goals, and how they respond to different explanations. Our team includes experienced educators and professionals who value patient, supportive teaching.
How much does it cost?
Rates depend on the subject, tutor, and session length. The team confirms the exact rate before you book. The initial consultation is free.
Can we choose a schedule that works for us?
Yes. Share your availability and timezone, and the team will work with you to find a suitable tutor and time. A session is booked only after availability is confirmed.
Do you work with schools and organizations?
Yes. We develop after-school STEM enrichment, project-based learning, and professional development around your institution’s goals. We work with your existing curriculum and teaching team.
